Here I am in Anaheim with the Achieving the Dream DREAM 2013 Conference with the Lane Community College Dream Team. There are about 1500 people here; maybe a dozen students from all over the world. All the preliminary chatter between the women anyway, has been about the Dress Code.

  • OK, pretty cute and funny. Now I’m looking for what the guys are wearing on their feet. Any tassels? Socks? Kilts?

On a new subjects, how about skirts, skorts, dresses and tats? At least I know you guys made it to Anaheim! Hi to Crystal!

  • Hey, I like this. As close as I will get to being with you in Anaheim. You know when I packed for you kids (and I still follow the idea for my own packing) I always start with the feet and work up, and I still love shoes. I Loved my dancing heels and am glad to see there are some really pretty ones that I could stand up in even now. This video along with a Rita Hayworth clip that Cheryl sent me has made my day. .Thank You Love om

  • But wait, this isn’t about shoes at all — “heals and ties optional” is advice to young conference-going digital storytellers? This is from the conference on Psychotheraputic Bondage Role-Play in Healing, surely. I would never have thought healing was optional, but I’d always allow someone to choose their ties. Whether they wear a suit or speedos to the session is beside the point.

Or… was that deliberate? Is this a college test? Now I’m confused… please — someone tie me up and heal me!

  • Love the 5 (or is it 6)” red heels (there has to be a more up-to-date name for these feet and back killers)…talk about the need for healing somewhere down the road when the back finally says ‘enough already’… but they sure are cute and sexy, and at this end of the spectrum, I guess that counts for a lot…when I was that age, it never occurred to me to do anything else, like something sensible such as walking shoes for walking to work, etc…

  • Those are NOT Eugene feet. No all season/all purpose/all colors of Birkenstocks. No multicolored striped socks with toes. No tie-dye tights. You were in the big city for sure.
