This is NaPoWriMo or National write-a-poem-a-day month. That’s a steep order that I probably can’t commit to, but here it is Oct. 4 and I have two to start, anyway! Both the one below and the one in the video were written at the same time, down in the drought reservoir you can see in the photo. Those stumps just look so full of longing as they seem to try to tiptoe back to their life as a tree before the reservoir drowned them out.
