How beautiful and sad. I love the listener and her sounds of compassion. And Peter’s careful and quiet telling on the soil of Norway.

How courageous and heart-breaking for a family to send a young woman to Brooklyn as war spread across Europe. And heartbreaking for a young Norwegian girl to become pregnant so far from those she knew as family.

And now, decades later, even the definition of family has evolved. Roots are important and offer us good gifts. But roots never change — whereas family (or perhaps tribe) of choice brings gifts, too, that change and grow. Glad to hold you as tribal brother…

I was glad to share that, thank you, Peter. Touching. I hope you find out more.

Peter, how wonderful that you are in Norway and searching for your roots! I like that you are enjoying and so open in the process of the search, in spite of a definite and final outcome. Wishing you well in the journey !

Sandy, you have captured the crisp color and fresh winds of Norway beautifully.
