Ah, so lovely, both the poem and imagery…I love getting down into the soft pungent earth and breathing in the intoxicating earthy scents of new growth and delicate early spring flowers…I, too, love what is close, and after a spring walk with my camera I come home with my shoes and jeans covered in the sweet earth and my heart richly blessed with the beauty I have seen close to the earth…at other times, I reach up to indulge in the sweet scents of blossoming trees and envelop myself in the greening shrubbery awash with the freshness and vividness of new growth…I like the way you match up evocative words with evocative imagery.

Exquisite poem, exquisite handling and reading. How tender and deep. Your images of our home – the rivers, the cedars. I take a deep breath this early morning. This is nourishment for the day.
