I was wandering through Bloomsbury Books in Ashland, Oregon two weeks ago, and I came across a book by Kim Stafford that I hadn’t known about. It’s a book that should be on sale at all those little souvenir shops that you find up and down the Oregon Coast.
It is called Wind on the Waves: Stories from the Oregon Coast
Naturally, I couldn’t resist making a digital story with one of his prose poems!
(clickety click to order from amazon.com).
Sometimes poems arrive just as they are needed- a cool moment’s respite in a week with too few days doesn’t at the beach…
Sandy
I love too many to stay in one place, aching to feel the wind’s paw on my back. So I travel, and I always, always end up by the sea.
Thank you, Kim Stafford, and thank you, Sandy!
WOW. you are amazing, SANDY>>> or better yet. PHENOMENAL>>>> thanks for sharing, lov, mary ann
Thank you for the evocative journey, sage and storyteller. I travel far yet keep ending up where I started in life: by sea and forest.
Wow, Sandy, totally amazing! From the one who loves the ocean and loves the wind! You have an uncanny way of finding those heart strings and giving them a good firm tug!
Touche. Sound arguments. Keep up the great work.
