Following the Sun

“It is our profoundest work

to follow the tender changes

of the sun”

This is a video I made earlier in the month that I wasn’t going to post because I have voices in my head that say people don’t love to watch a slide show music video of five minutes. Probably true, although it’s not true of ME, so it really is just SOME people.

But I kept going back and watching it myself and finally said, “Hold it! Just put it on the blog, so I’ll have it for myself to go back to in the future. You all can decide for yourselves whether or not you have the time.”

I love this video for one thing because “Follow the Sun” by Enigma is one of my favorite songs. For another, I love the strange lunar landscape of Fern Ridge when the water has been drawn down for the winter. Peter and I went out the day after I got back from the National Achieving the Dream Conference, which is why the opening sequence is obviously taken from the plane window.

In my fantasy world (the one WITHOUT the voices!) you are seated in front of a big computer monitor with head phones on, no distractions and the volume turned up. That’s how I made it, and that’s how I like to watch other people’s photo videos, too.

“My spirit rises

like a white feather.”

Moving. Loved the parts and the context. Thanks too for introducing me to that piece of music.

As invited by the title, I followed sunlight on the earth-earthy as it was reflected back in partial spectrums & the totality was as bright as the sun itself!

What 5 minutes? Sans headphones, the iPad and a warmish desert morning, even the dogs stopped playing as we sat in the stillness of the sun and wind surrounded by even more than words can say…..as always my love journeys with you as you explore Sandy!
