I have been watching Kim Stafford’s digital stories lately, and he always seems to create his as gifts. So this digital story is a birthday gift for my dear freind Lloyd Meeher. It is a reading of Robert Nathan’s “Now Blue October” with images of Lloyd, his sister Angela, who passed too soon, and Lloyd’s husband, Bob.
Lovely poem Sandy and especially your “signature” at the close of footsteps in the autumn leaves.
Sandy,
LOVE “Blue October” . Angela’s birdlike pose blended with the bird images was so poignant. Great to see Lloyd’s joyful face too.
Thank you, Sandy! I’ve usually taken my birthday as a day for introspection, for truing up the desires and facts of my life to make sure the doors still swing open and close easily, the windows still let in or keep out the weather. It’s been especially important this year, “When I’m 64”. Smooches!
Beautiful poem, beautiful imagery! Beautiful friendship!
