For My Sister: The Girl on a Swing

I got my inspiration for the color palette and editing of the video from this classic painting by Maxfield Parrish.

Cheryl, the Girl on a Swing

In March of 2015, my sister, Cheryl Long, came to visit, and we climbed Swing Hill on Mt. Pisgah. I have combined that video with some of a Mother’s Day balloon ascent to make a video that says something about my sister as an artist who still has the soul and vision of a child.

This is another very emotional video I made about her Cheryl and her Golden Retriever Ryle one golden afternoon in the Cle Elum River, Nov. 2013, to the Eva Cassidy song “Fields of Gold.”

I am publishing this on June 12, 2017, to celebrate her birthday and out many years of friendship and collaboration.

Loved “Fields of Gold” and the “Cheryl, Girl of a Swing”, both full of heart and soul…what an exquisite tribute to your sis…you captured the play of light and color that is so awesome in the works of Maxfield Parrish…very creative and touching…
