Of Cats & Light

Replay, a Video App

A new video app called Replay called me out to play this week. It has template themes that are a lot of fun, so the beginning digital storyteller can achieve very different effects without any knowledge of how to do special animations.

Shameless Adorations of Our Cats

This is the first one I made that includes speeded up footage from another new app called Hyperlapse that just makes me laugh.

So You Want to Paint with Light?

The Daily Create on the day I made this was to do a light painting, which I didn’t have the time or resources to do, so instead I made this little “inspirational” video on that topic:

What do you think? Do you think the animations add visual interest to the message or do they distract?

by animations you mean the white lines and patterns? I liked it as a different style you don’t see much; it would be more of a problem to over use it. As something like a music video, it works well with your audio.

I loved the music tracks on both these videos! You have a knack for finding just the right matches.

I liked all the animations except the + + ones. They didn’t seem relevant, whereas the / / ones were like shafts of light.

I continue to marvel at the spectrum of what you produce!

I agree with Alan – the lines work with your soundtrack, but for me there’s too much going on visually. I don’t like to be pushed if I can linger–especially these days!
