One of the highlights of visiting Hawaii, the Big Island, was the chance in a lifetime to view an active volcano after dark.

You really capture the moment, the energy, the awesome beauty of Pele…I love Herb Kane’s paintings; his imagining of Pele is remarkable, as are all his other works, and your photos are sharp and clear. I have yet to view the lava show at night, but it’s still quite a show during the day. I like the mix of photos; makes the large ones more dramatic…good thing you didn’t bring any lava home – Pele would be haunting you…good work!
